"The world tells us to seek Success, Power & Money;
God tells us to Humility, Love & Service."
- Pope Francis
Now that I'm currently in Mandaluyong City, I've been narrowed with what I wanted to do with my time and other needs for me to be an efficient person in my everyday life. There comes the leisure activities I considered but there's one thing that really enticed me most. And it's becoming a Lector/Proclaimer or simply a Reader during Eucharistic celebration on Sabbath Day.
When I was still a youngster, I've been seeing this task especially with my Mama Malyn at San Roque Parish, Mawab my hometown where she was an active member. I am always amazed in what she does and thought of becoming one whenever I'll be ready. Finally, I'm a grown up now and pursuing the service. I underwent a screening and training practices for a month just to fulfill the affiliation. Thank you to the Archdiocese Shrine of the Divine Mercy here in Mandaluyong City for considering me for this task. I am humbled and grateful for this opportunity.
In my 24 years of existence, I've been very thorough in following my dreams and achieve all my aspirations in life for me to prove I have a great purpose in this world. I defined it really tough and challenging yet I am proud to say I did it anyway and now I continuously engaged on that journey. I am always thankful to God for providing me all the things I needed and strength to continue along.
With my newly found calling and the beautiful family of MLC (Ministry of Lectors & Commentators), I will continue the service and will always pray for making it an essential responsibility. I cannot promise a perfect actions but I genuinely offer my full commitment and wholehearted service for this task.
Thank you for everything MLC! May God enlighten our ministry to be the channel for the proclamation of God's Word to His people.
